Getting Warmer

When Kerr Scientific Instruments (KSI) wanted a portable thermostat for warming artificial brain fluid, Kamahi delivered.

In order to be compatible with KSI's Tissue Recording System, the device needed to be small, cost-effective and easy to use. An exercise in firmware design, the rugged, DC-driven temperature controller had to be carefully integrated with the heating element and a reliable user interface, while working intimately with KSI to guarantee their expectations were met.

Kamahi's strong background in thermodynamic design and heat dissipation were also extremely useful in developing a safe product that hit the mark exactly.
