Approached by Vaaka to produce a lightweight, wireless cadence sensor, Kamahi produced a world first – a fully-sealed product giving real-time paddle rate feedback to rowing/paddling athletes and coaches.

A unique sports device, the sensor demanded cutting edge low power architecture using ANT+ functionality, which Kamahi pushed to the limit – achieving a three year battery life. Employing the proof of concept unit as the test bed, we were also able to use our signal processing expertise to fine tune the unit's innovative algorithms and our extensive firmware knowledge to ensure flexibility in future.

The result: an award-winning, integrated IP68 waterproof device to surpass the high demands of the consumer market.
